Overview
The Laboratory Technician works with the Lab Managers to interpret the production schedule to facilitate step-up procedures of yeast and bacteria propagations.

Accountability
Reports to: Laboratory Technician reports to the Lab Managers and the Director of Operations
Supervises: N/A

Responsibilities

  • Assists in daily lab operations like yeast and bacteria propagations, media preparation, and autoclave operations
  • Thorough and accurate raw material and product documentation according to FDA standards
  • Communicates with the Laboratory Managers to implement the latest protocols and procedures
  • Works with the Quality Department to identify and replace products that do not meet quality standards
  • Ensures that all production and quality documentation is completed properly
  • Follows required training on standard operating procedures and safety protocols
  • Assists in ongoing improvement projects
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace
  • Communicates and collaborates with other departments in order to meet production demands
  • Stays current with all SOPs and related documentation
  • Maintains a clean and organized workplace

Requirements

  • Adaptable and able to efficiently manage time and tasks
  • Able to be on your feet for long periods
  • Able to bend and kneel
  • Able to work a schedule of four 10-hour shifts, inclusive of one weekend day
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Sunday — Wednesday shift
