To highlight the robust strawberry esters of Sundew® Ale (OYL-401), we decided to build a recipe that would enhance the modern hops such as Huell Melon, Belma, and Citra to achieve a highly approachable NEIPA without adding any actual strawberries into the recipe.
The finished product proved fruitful as strawberry, apricot, and red plum dominated the aroma. The brew poured thick and cloudy with an orange hue keeping it true to the style. The flavor profile was highlighted by a meshing of tropical fruits, and red berry throughout at the palette. A sure crowd-pleaser.
